Skydiving For All in Dubai

Skydiving in Dubai is highly accessible. There are a range of different companies to choose from, all offering fantastic dives with highly trained and fully qualified staff. As you might imagine, most dives centre on the ‘Palm’, the beautiful resort in Dubai which appears as a palm from the sky. In Dubai, you will be jumping from around an incredible 12,000 feet, and will reach a maximum velocity of 210km/h, which in layman’s terms means extremely fast! It’s an experience that in some ways is over in the blink of an eye, but at the same time, once that parachute pops open, you’ve got several minutes to take in the beautiful surroundings in peaceful bliss. The freefall lasts about a minute, and unless you have a jumpers licence, you will be descending with a qualified co jumper, but this obviously provides an enormous amount of reassurance for most! Most sky diving companies in Dubai will also offer you a package which includes video footage of your jump, which is useful for all of those jumpers who spend the entire jump with their eyes closed!

You can expect the whole skydiving process to take around three hours in Dubai, which is in part down to a training debrief given to you by diving professionals. You will have to wear loose and comfortable clothes, and of course, alcohol and drugs are not permitted to be used at any time before your jump. You will need to be over 18 and have full identification with you.

Train for Your Skydiving Licence!

If you are looking for a bit more than a tandem dive, then it is possible to contact some companies in Dubai who can take you to a training centre on the Northeast of Dubai, which tends to be a little more cost effective. It’s here that you can work towards a licence all of your own.

Artificial Dive!

If real life skydiving sounds a bit much for you, then you can visit the Play Nation Ilfy Dubai indoor skydiving experience – which is just like the real thing! You go through a full training program before entering ‘The Tunnel’ a cleverly designed wind tunnel which accurately replicates the feeling of skydiving. Said to be safe for children and just like the real thing for experienced divers – this is an affordable experience which may be a good first option for first time divers.

As you can see there is a wealth of opportunities for any wannabe divers in Dubai. Whether you have hundreds of dives under your belt, or if it’s your first time out, this is the perfect place to experience skydiving.
