Penny is a well-known brand of skateboard and the company is known for producing good quality, well-made boards with a funky look. The Penny Complete skateboard is a classic retro design made from moulded plastic injection-moulded and is designed to appeal to born-again skaters, teenagers, and everyone in between. It is a bit smaller than other skateboards, but what the Penny Complete lacks in size it makes up for in performance. You can buy a Penny Complete skateboard in a multitude of different colour combinations, from vibrant canary yellow or hot pink, to glow in the dark for night riders. The board is nifty enough to turn on a sixpence and small enough to fit into a backpack at the end of the day. So if you want a skateboard to carry you round town, the Penny Complete is a top choice.

Pros and Cons
The Penny Complete may look like a prop from a 1970s movie, but it moves with all the finesse of a 21st century skateboard. The board is incredibly smooth. It carves well and is great for riding bowls with. The plastic construction is incredibly strong, yet flexible, and is perfect for cruising around town. And thanks to its diminutive size, the Penny Complete fits neatly into a bag and can easily be carried around when riding is not an option.
On the downside, the plastic design in a selection of bright, funky colours may look sexy, but sadly it is prone to scratches, especially around the front and tail section. The board is not really designed for practising tricks and stunts down at your local skate park, but you can enjoy a nice smooth ride if cruising around is more your thing. The small size of the board may also be a problem for larger people and adults taller than 5’ 6” will probably find the board a little too small. Lastly, some people report that the board can be a bit slippery at times, but this issue can be solved by using some custom Penny grip tape.
Final Thoughts
The Penny Complete has a lot to offer if you want a skateboard to cruise around on all day long. The board is of excellent quality and the retro plastic design is available in enough colours to suit even the most discerning of tastes. But where it really comes into its own is with the ‘glow in the dark’ colour option: Imagine how cool you will look when the lights are out and you are seemingly gliding along on a spooky glowing hover board (the wheels and trucks are black). And if you want a small board to slip into your backpack in between skating sessions, the Penny Complete will fit the bill perfectly. Priced between $72 and $100 on Amazon depending on the colour, this is a great buy!
